Her parents had met at the Academy, where they fell deeply in love. However, upon graduation, they were assigned to different ships, and their careers took them in separate directions. Determined to spend as much time together as possible, Eric and Emily married before parting ways. Weeks later, Emily discovered she was pregnant, and with a heavy heart, she resigned from Starfleet to raise their child on a peaceful planet. Lara grew up under her mother's loving care, with her father making sporadic appearances whenever his duties allowed. Despite the distance, Eric remained committed to being a part of Lara's life, sharing stories of his adventures and inspiring her curiosity about the galaxy. As a child, Lara found solace in nature, spending hours exploring the backyard, collecting leaves, and watching bugs scurry about. She developed a passion for botany, learning to craft beautiful arrangements from the natural world.
