A New Assignment

Robert was new to the Endurance. He had come aboard just as the last of the station's crew were leaving the ship. He knew he was not able to be a part of all the formalities, but he was never one for that sort of thing.

He was working in his science lab and setting up his office. He was officially the Chief Science Officer and while he should have been on the bridge for the departure from the starbase, he was a last minute assignment to this ship and figured he would just jump right into work. He saw orders to get cargo bays ready to receive supplies so he got to it. He was not just yet used to giving orders so he took it upon himself to check out the cargo bays and assess the situation.

As soon as he got done there, he would report to the captain and be officially linked into the system to be categorized as a seat in the senior officers circle.
