An Uncertain Future

"First Officer personal log Stardate 239512.15, a few days after a meeting with some new crew I applied for a posting back to earth. It was granted, I then after our last mission I notified the Captain that I would be resigning as her First Officer, it was clear to me I was not cut out to be an XO, so I will be returning back to security and will be able to put this experience of being a First Officer or trying to be one behind me as a bad experience.

That is the biggest issue, the other is I was bound to meet an officer who would annoy me without meaning to, but our new Security Chief in my brief experience has an attitude and is too overconfident in her position and she is too self-opinionated for my liking, but some of those traits will server her well. It is unclear if we could ever have found common ground between us.

I can understand my actions annoying the new Security Chief, but she did not show proper respect for the position of First Officer. When she first arrived she was beamed in before she had a chance to dress properly, I replicated her a doctor's overcoat and said cover thy nakedness, she took it the wrong way and things really went downhill from there" Andi paused.

"Personal assessment of the new Security Chief, if she learns to control her ways she will go far, but her current outlook and attitude are what this ship currently needs in a Security Chief, personal feelings and opinions aside she will do well on this ship. I still cannot believe I would meet someone this soon in my First Officers career that I would bump heads with, if I am truly honest another reason for my requesting reassignment is due to the fact that the XO and Security Chief always butting heads and having a mutual distrust or like with each other is not good for crew morale and that is one of the other reasons to my leaving.

“The new Security Chief may be a pain in the rear, but I wish her well and hold no grudges or anger towards her, she is who she is and I accept her for that.

Andi said as she finished her Personal Log and saved it for later, she would activate it prior to leaving the ship.
