The First Officers Physical

Doctor Ross had just been dismissed from a medical conference and seminar that had been held on starbase forty-eight . It was one of the last thing's she had on her agenda before her new assignment left space dock and the ship's medical department couldn't be more prepared. Hope was very curious to see where the nebula class starship would be sent and what their task would be.

Minutes later the Chief Medical Officer made her last pass through the airlock of starbase forty-eight and onto the nearest turbo lift. "Deck twelve" Hope ordered and turned her attention to a PaDD full of notes from the seminar as the lift started into motion.

After speaking to the Captain a couple of days later and Andi headed straight to ships Medical and entered, she looked around, is there a Doctor in the house?" She asked loudly as she entered medical she jumped a little when a voice spoke from behind her"

"I'm a Doctor and how can I help you" Hope asked looking up from her PaDD at a woman's back, wearing a red uniform.

Turning to face the doctor "I come for my medical checkup that all crew go through when they are posted to a new duty" Lightfeather said, "I know all on the ship are new, I just want to get mine out of the way" she added.

Hope gave a slight smile "right this way" she gestured toward the sickbay entrance "I'm Doctor Hope Ross" she officially introduced herself as the two of them made their way into the sickbay.

As Andi entered Medical proper she headed for the nearest biobed and jumped up on it, I take it you are also new here then Doctor?" She asked looking around, Andi could tell that Medical was brand new as the medical staff were still arriving, she only wondered what adventures that they were going to get into, she just hoped her First Officer spot was as short as her previous two attempts, thankfully those two were not her own doing.

"Yes, ma'am" Hope gathered a tricorder and started scanning who she assumed was the ships First Officer. "I'm guessing you are the First Officer?" the doctor asked with a smile while she entered settings into the tricorder.

Looking at the Doctor with a smile "yes I am the new First Officer, you are correct on that, served on five ships, two were XO posts" Andi said and continued to look around "never served on a Nebula class though, but I figured may as well get my medical over and done with. I know I got one on earth, but protocol dictates that I have to have one done when I arrive at my new posting, as things might have changed" she added.

"I appreciate you getting it taken care of" Hope smiled and pressed a few things on the tricorder to transfer the readings to the medical profile of the First Officer. "Well, ma'am" Hope's southern accent really thick when she said ma'am "you are cleared for duty."

Smiling as she looked at Hope "excellent, thank you, doctor I just hope you can get the other personnel in here without too much issue" Andi said getting down off the biobed and looking at the Doctor "when not on the bridge call me Andi" she said holding her hand out.

Hope took the offered hand "Hope" she said with a smile.

Shaking Hope's hand "nice name, did your parents pick it in memory of Pandora's Box?" Lightfeather asked the Chief Medical Officer and she lowered her hand.

"I don't think so" Hope replied with a smiled "but maybe I'll ask them."

Studying Hope for a moment "well if there is nothing more then, Hope I will be leaving you to your duties as I figure you have a lot to do before we depart the Starbase" Lightfeather said.

"I do indeed" Hope smiled, Andromeda was very nice and professionak. The Doctor was glad that the command team gave her a feeling they were in good hands.

With a final nod to the doctor, Andi left medical and headed straight to the nearest turbo-lift she walked up to one and entered when the doors closed "Bridge" she said and the lift took her to her requested destination.
